| What is RSS? |
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication
and is an easy way for websites to distribute content. The content
is sent to you rather than you having to visit the site to see if
there is anything new.
This saves you time in two ways. Firstly because you are not visiting
websites looking for new articles and secondly because the RSS feed
contains just links, headlines and brief synopses of the new information
so downloads to your computer quickly. |

| How do I start using RSS feeds? |
To use RSS feeds you need to get a program
called a News Reader. This will display the RSS feeds from your chosen
websites on your computer. There are many News Readers to choose from
- some free, some at a little cost.
Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide
what content you want to receive in your news reader, by finding and
subscribing to the relevant RSS feeds.
Some examples of RSS Feed Readers can be viewed at http://www.feedreader.com,
http://www.Pluck.com,OR
simply performing a search on “RSS Feed Reader”
on any search engine will display many useful results.
