| Is Your Dry Skin Caused By Your Lifestyle? |
| by Louise Forrest

Having
dry skin will make you feel unattractive. Let us be
honest, there is nothing attractive about having skin
that is dry and even flaky. But what if the way you
lived your life was the cause of your skin condition?
It is not that hard to find possible causes that can
be causing dry skin. It is really not an hereditary
issue unless what you have is more sever such as eczema.
But here are some common lifestyle choices that could
be causing you to have dry skin. |
| |
| - |
The
Sun. A lot of people look forward to the summer
time when the days are longer and the sun is warm
and they instantly want to be able to expose their
skin in order to develop what they believe is
a nice healthy tan. But exposure to the sun does
cause the skin to dry out and also can lead to
premature ageing . |
| - |
Male
or Female. Gender can also play a role as most
men do tend have oilier skin compared to women.
|
| - |
Smoking.
When a person does smoke the tobacco causes premature
ageing as well as causing the skin to become a
lot drier than normal. |
| - |
Hot
baths and showers. These need to be avoided simply
because the strip the skin of the essential oils
that it needs in order to keep itself protected. |
| - |
Health.
If you have diabetes then this too can be a cause
for you having dry skin. |
| - |
Winter.
During the cold months, without proper protection
for your skin, your skin can become very dry and
chapped. |
|
| |
From
the list above you need to try and determine what you
are doing and try to change the actions that you are
taking. Some are easy such as not using hot water, but
if it is a health issue that you have, then making other
changes will be needed. |
