Have You Too Much Skin?
by Louise Forrest

Being fat is becoming a more of an issue in the western world as there is just so much junk food and ready made meals available and with lifestyle choices as they combined with a career, there is often little time to be able to look after one’s body and keep it healthy.

Many people are told by their doctors that if they do not lose the weight they are certainly going to die a very early death. It most cases this does not allow people to diet the normal way and many people become so scared that they undergo surgery in order to remove the excess weight.

But being fat means that the skin has stretched and once the surgery has been performed to help stop getting fatter, the person is then left with a lot of excess skin which is does not retain its original shape and the elasticity from the skin has now gone.

Most people think of cosmetic surgery for the purpose of implants or a nose size reduction. But it can also be used to remove excess amounts of skin from the body. Such a surgery is generally performed on those that have had their stomach stapled in order to eat less, and the excess skin is left hanging from the body. In such cases, it is often essential to have this surgery as carrying this excess skin can cause its own problems also.

But as with any kind of surgery make sure that you have a good qualified surgeon who is willing to take care of you and will be well.
