Treat Sun Damaged Skin
by Louise Forrest

Despite the dangers of the sun many people do ignore them. This is because we think that the conditions such as skin cancer will never happen to us. We are aware of how to prevent such conditions but we do not know how to go about treating them.

Skin that has been damaged from the skin can come in a variety of forms. This can include whether the damage is mild or serious.

There are some creams that you can buy that are quite mild and are able to provide some relief to the skin. Some of the products that are available include:

Soy – this helps to soothe and moisturise the skin

Alpha Hydroxin Acids – these help to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin

Copper Peptides – this gives power and also flexibility to the skin

Vitamins C & E – help with repairing any damage to the skin caused by the sun

Retinol – this is no more than vitamin A and helps to maintain healthy skin

You should also beware of how to treat children and the best way to protect children is to get them to wear hats. Also put them in baggy clothing as this will protect them from the sun. You should remember to change their clothing every time they have been swimming.

Should your sun damage by more severe then you should visit your doctor who will give you either

Hydroquinone – thus inhibits melanin and remove over pigmentation from the skin

Tretinoin – this increases collagen production and enhances the skins natural arrangement

You may also want to consider some cosmetic procedures that will improve the appearance of any sun damaged skin. But these should only be considered if any prescription treatments have not been successful.

Damage to the skin from the sun can take some time to repair, but it can be done with the right treatments. But you are better off trying to prevent any damage to your skin in the first place by following the guidelines. Following the guidelines do not stop you from going out in the sun. You are just having fun and being careful at the same time.
