Some Natural Skincare Alternatives
by Louise Forrest

If you regularly go to personal skincare stores and drugstores, you would definitely notice that there are numerous skincare products that are out in the market. The rising number of such products surely confuses consumers. Now, for sure, you would not be able to easily choose products to buy because of the influx of many different types and brands of natural skincare products. Such products naturally moisturize and protect the skin, making it more glowing and more beautiful.

Among the most common natural skincare ingredients are baking sodas, tea tree oil and maple syrup. For sure, you might raise your eyebrows that these ingredients are readily available and accessible in your own kitchen.

Baking soda

Baking soda has been known for its natural cleansing properties. As an active ingredient of toothpastes, baking soda has been found to be responsible for the natural whiteness that results from using such teeth products. It is a common knowledge that toothpastes having baking sodas are effective in giving out naturally whiter teeth. Baking soda is now also popular as main ingredient of several skincare and personal products like body powder and deodorant.

Did you known that there is another use of baking soda? You can make a solution that would clean and condition the hair more naturally and safer. To do this, simply mix baking soda with water. Use the solution to clean the hair and remove buildups from hair styling products. This would pose a great and truly effective alternative to the regular shampoo products that are available in the market. It is also significantly cheaper and more practical.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties. It also has characteristics that fight off different types of viruses that affect the skin. What is good about tea tree oil is that it can be easily absorbed by the skin. You can directly apply the oil to the skin or mix it with water and other natural skincare products to attain the good effects.

Maple syrup

Do you love putting on maple syrup to your breakfast hotcakes? Did you know that aside from that natural sweetening product, you can also use maple syrup as a natural skincare ingredient? To do this, simply apply the syrup directly to the skin especially in the facial area. Maple syrup has a natural moisturizing property that makes the skin livelier and more glowing.

Other than that, maple syrup is also effective as an alternative to usual and conventional hair conditioning products. As usual, the syrup should be applied directly to the hair. Wash it off after a few minutes.

Overall, tea tree oil, maple syrup and baking soda are effective as alternatives to usual and conventional skincare products. You would easily find and have these ingredients. There is a need to shift to natural skincare products these days. Aside from the usually high costs, practicality and overall safety is mostly prioritized. You know how synthetics and chemicals can be harmful to the skin. It is time they are prevented or at least significantly minimized.
