The Advocacy Of A Psoriasis Cure Now
by Louise Forrest

It is estimated that about 2% of the overall global population is diagnosed of having a skin problem known as psoriasis. The skin disease is characterized by red or silvery-white patches appearing on the surface of the skin. Need not say more, there is nothing really alarming about psoriasis, because it is not health risky and is not contagious. The ailment occurs when the skin production is very rapid and uncontrollable especially in the affected skin area. Psoriasis can also affect the genitals and scalp.

What is more concerning about psoriasis is the kind of interaction and perception patients get from other people. In reality, people are looking at patients with psoriasis in an entirely different way. Many psoriasis victims would readily attest that they are not getting fair treatment from other people, who are not well informed about the nature of the skin disease and its non-potential to be transferred or communicated. That is the reason why a group of advocates formed a group that would better educate and inform people about the real scores regarding psoriasis. Psoriasis Cure Now is that particular organization that is aimed at making societies handle cases of psoriasis responsibly and intelligently.

The basic target of Psoriasis now is the general public, who through the years has been giving malicious and degrading stares to people diagnosed with psoriasis. At one glance, it is not inevitable that people would react with indignation and despise to the odd skin color exhibited in patients. Of course, the initial reaction would a reflex to prevent spread of the perceived 'contagious' skin disease. But now that it is definite that psoriasis is not transferable, people should start reacting normally so that psoriasis patients would not be offended and prejudged anymore. Psoriasis Cure Now, being a nonprofit group, is aiming to press legislators to file policies and bills that would uphold the basic human rights of psoriasis patients.

Aside from information dissemination, Psoriasis Cure Now also has goals to press research and development efforts that would help in further development of drugs and alternative treatments. The group sets standards towards safer and more effective treatment options designed to combat the rapid skin production that is found to be triggered by changes in the immune system. As a private organization, Psoriasis Cure Now is actively soliciting funds and monetary support in carrying out efforts for further psoriasis treatment development.

Every now and then, Psoriasis Cure Now is launching new initiatives that would call on to prompt the society to do responsible actions towards psoriasis and its patients. Recently, the group has launched an online video contest, wherein participants are asked to produce short videos or documentations about psoriasis. The group awarded $7,500 to a video producer who came up with a good video briefly discussing or implying how the society regards psoriasis. The video can be accessed through YouTube at this address:

Support or join Psoriasis Cure Now and help make the world a better place not just for you but more especially for psoriasis victims who have been subjected to so much humiliation because of their odd skin quality.
