Coffee as a Natural Skincare Ingredient
by Louise Forrest

People normally take a cup of coffee to wake up the senses every morning. The aroma and taste of coffee is just perfect to kick the senses and make your system work more vigorously. Caffeine is the substance found in coffee that is responsible for the waking up properties. In the past years, there have been numerous bad effects of caffeine that have been uncovered. But lately, the health benefits are starting to be highlighted once more. Not only that, coffee itself has many other basic nutrients and substances that are useful to the body and to the senses. That is why coffee is now considered a good skincare ingredient.

Have you ever imagined washing your body with coffee in the morning? You would likely imagine having the kicking properties of coffee integrated with skin products to be applied to the skin. In fact, nowadays, there are already soaps and scrubs that are made of coffee. It is interesting to note that such products are known to be effective and potent.

Experts assert that it would take one hour of continuous scrubbing of coffee scrubs and soaps to have a kicking in energy equivalent to that provided by a single cup of coffee. Unfortunately, it takes more time for the skin to absorb caffeine and other nutrients from coffee. However, many users of such beauty products could still testify numerous beauty benefits of coffee to the skin.

Coffee naturally is a stimulant and is a diuretic. As a stimulant, it would invigorate the skin and make it livelier. As a diuretic, it would likely take out fats and other unwanted impurities that may accumulate within skin layers. Coffee is popularly known as a good product to curtail cellulite buildup in the body. Caffeine has been found to help trim cellulites by dehydrating the fat cells that make up the skin problem. Thus, the skin would look and feel smoother and definitely healthier.

Caffeine is also observed to be effective in removing the puffiness that naturally occurs in the area around the eyes. Dark circles are those occurrences and they are found to be curtailed and eliminated by the use of natural skincare products containing coffee as a basic and active ingredient. Women who have testified to using coffee-added natural skincare products attest that after using such products at least for 30 days, their skin looked and feel tighter, their dimpling skin was eliminated and about two centimeters were culled off from their thighs.

There are many other natural skincare products that have coffee in them. Aside from soaps and scrubs, there are lip balms and lip glosses that are known to accentuate the beauty of the lips. Many cellulite creams available in the market also claim to contain coffee as a basic ingredient, which makes them more effective in making cellulite-affected skin area look healthier minus the unwanted cellulite deposits. Coffee shampoos are also starting to rake in popularity as well as coffee bath washes and lotions. Indeed, coffee is a very promising natural skincare ingredient.
