| Many of us
have woken up in the morning and taken a look in the mirror
only to see scary dark circles under them. No, we are not
vampires and we also do not want under our eyes. Then what is there to do about
them? Cucumbers? A cold washcloth? Both of those are great
ideas. But there are also ways to help your under eye area
by using specifically made for that sensitive area.
People often question under . What are the ingredients? What
exactly does it do? What makes this product any different
from, say, a moisturizer? How often should I use it? These
are all legitimate questions, and it is important to know
the answers to them; otherwise you might find yourself relying
on a facial moisturizer for your under eye area, and that
might not do the trick.
First of all, are different from your everyday moisturizer. Consider
for a moment whether or not you would use a body lotion for
your face or vice versa. Some people might, but you have to
remember that different areas of your skin demand different
things. You facial skin is a little more delicate than say,
the soles of your feet. Correct? You get under eye circles
because the skin there is thinner and it is easier to see
what is beneath, from blood vessels to other tissues. Due
to various causes, how much you sleep, what position you sleep
in, and so forth, the dark area beneath your eyes can become
more prominent. Because this skin is much more delicate, and
also because it is so close to your eyes, which are very important
(of course), you want a that is delicate. You do not want any product
getting into your eyes, so you do not want it to run, which
body heat can cause it to do, and also you do not want any
ingredients that your eyes might be sensitive to wafting into
your eyes via fragrances.
Eye creams tend to be made just for eyes. This means they
are gentler and made from products your skin can benefit
from and your eyes not react to. Most eye creams will contain
natural ingredients that will help tighten skin to help
reduce or prevent wrinkles, give your skin some coolness
to help reduce puffiness, and help to beat darkness beneath
the eye. Eye creams might have caffeine, cucumber, vitamin
C, vitamin K, and vitamin E, all of which are effective
in helping skin, from tightening to cooling to simply being
healthy for skin to absorb. Vitamin K also helps to inhibit
bruising beneath the eye, which is also a potential cause
for darkness.
Now that you know why an eye cream skin care product is likely
to be a better choice than your facial or body moisturizer,
the questions left are how often you should use it and how
much of an effect it will have. If you find a product that
does what it promises, then naturally the effect will be directly
influenced by how regularly you use it. Just like if you brush
your teeth often enough, your teeth will stay white and clean,
failing to do so and only brushing once or twice a month is
not going to do you much good. The same goes for the majority
of all skin care products, eye cream included. If you use
one, then use it. Aim for using it once before bed and once
when you wake up in the morning. By using it before bed, you
can help prevent and using it when you wake up can help
counteract
.
You should remember that the use of an eye cream, just like
any other product, may take time in order to see results,
but if you fail to see any after at least three weeks of regular
use, you might want to reconsider that particular brand. |
