When taken to the account of world population, statistics has it that the situation affects about 2% to 3% of people. Given the current situation, it is just right that a special day be designated for awareness. Thus, we have World Psoriasis Day.

World Psoriasis Day would be an annual event that would be set as a special day for people with psoriasis. The event has been conceived by psoriasis patients for their fellow psoriasis patients. Supported by various world organizations and health groups, World Psoriasis Day is aimed at disseminating information that would raise awareness about the skin disease. The day is also aimed at helping people with psoriatic arthritis, a form of complicated psoriasis that affects people. Doctors and experts are joining hand in hand to provide relief and possible treatment. October 29 is designated as the day.

People have raised the need for World Psoriasis Day. The day is designed and instituted for people to have an increased awareness about the disease.
