Organic Skin Care and Natural Skin Care: The Hidden Truth
by Louise Forrest

In the skin care world today the words organic skin care and natural skin care can mean many different things to many different people. While organic skin care and natural skin care are both considered to be very formidable parts of the overall skin care package, people can sometimes get the two terms mixed up and this can lead them to make decisions out of confusion that could end up being a waste of time and money. Below is a short definition for organic skin care and natural skin care as well as a list of advantages inherent to both types of skin care.

Definition

When it comes right down to it, the main difference between organic skin care and natural skin care is that the former utilizes actual skin care products whilst the latter is simply concerned with things that you can do at home. Organic skin care and natural skin care are both important, but natural skin care (i.e. washing regularly, eating healthy and exercising on a regular basis) is more important than organic skin care simply because it is the stuff you do at home in order to make sure that all of the products that you use for skin care are able to have their maximum effect.

Advantages of Organic Skin Care and Natural Skin Care

There are quite a few advantages inherent to the use of organic skin care and natural skin care and a few of them are listed below.

The first advantage would have to be the cost that is involved for the advantage to take place. For example, if you are involved primarily in organic skin care and natural skin care for the different parts of your body, one of the things that is going to be most obvious to you right away is that the price tag for the treatments is going to be quite a bit lower. When you have additives and other non natural means for skin care, the price goes up. In other words, it costs less money to thoroughly wash your face gently with some soap than it does to go out and buy an inorganic facial mask for your face.

Another advantage to the use of organic skin care and natural skin care is the advantage that comes from knowing that you are not putting anything unnatural into your body. This is more of a psychological advantage than a physical one, but at the same time it is an advantage that has been shown to be true by a number of different clinical studies. Words like organic and natural are words that tend to evoke a very positive image in the minds of most people and if those same people (i.e. you) tend to use more of those products than the other kind, there is a definite placebo effect going on that tends to exaggerate some of the results that can be obtained. In this case however, exaggeration is most definitely a good thing.

Finally, one last advantage of organic skin care and natural skin care is the advantage that you get physiologically from the same thing that is mentioned above. Not only are you getting the psychological placebo advantage through the use of organic and natural methods, but at the same time the physiological advantage from not using potentially harmful additives is also there. This is a powerful advantage to the use of these types of methods and if there is only one thing in this whole article that convinces you of their superiority then it should be this point. Organic products are simply better for the human body and they produce less allergic reactions as well.
