Well
done to you for making the decision to start using products
that are organic for your skin and body. Whilst you
may be excited at first you may actually find yourself
overwhelmed with the choice of products and the ingredients
that you need to understand.
The reason for this is that the labels on many organic
products can and do contain a vast amount of information.
Here you will learn how to read product labels so
you know what you are actually buying.
One of the first things that you need to teach yourself
is that just because something says that it is organic
does not always mean that it is. This is because there
is no actual regulation by any body or any government.
Companies that product such goods are more or less
allowed to say what they want to a certain extent.
A lot of companies are make use of the marketing
even if they only use one ingredient that is natural
or organic based and the other 99% are nothing more
than artificial ingredients.
The only real way that you will be convinced if something
is natural is to study the label and to read the ingredients.
If you are still not there are many articles here
than can give you some tips on make your own range
of skin care products using nothing but fruit and
vegetables.
You are likely that many of the names that you see
on a skin care label are ones that you will not be
able to understand. There are two possible reasons
for this. The Latin name has been used or the ingredient
itself is man-made.
As mentioned you need to be aware if a product says
that it is organic or natural but yet you not able
to understand the ingredients list. In this case,
only a few of the ingredients used are actually organic
based. This does not mean that the product is 100%
organic or natural at all. The only way you can be
sure that a product as a whole is organic is if you
see the phrase “certified organic”. |
