Organic Vs. Non Organic, What Do Organic Products Really Contain?
by Louise Forrest

Do you know what you’re putting on your skin every time you apply lotion or other skin care products? Some of the ingredients they contain are things such as: isopropyl alcohol, mineral oil, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl, laureth sulfate, chlorine, color pigments, artificial fragrances, imidazolidinyl urea, and the list could go on.

What! Did you understand any of that? No wonder so many folks are opting for organic skin care products. Try reading the label on the lotions and creams you are using right now, do they contain any of the above-listed ingredients? If they do, chances are they may potentially harm your skin.

It may seem silly to think that some people don’t realize that what you apply to your skin on a daily basis is not only absorbed by the skin but it is also affects your body. By not checking out what is contained within the products you rub on your skin, swallow to cure pain or just take to make you feel better, you can be opening yourself up to god knows what.

Skin care products that contain organic ingredients, on the other hand, tend to be better for you and far more pure than something that came out of a cosmetic factory. Chances are you probably will not find so many all these questionable ingredients in organic products. Or at least that what we have all been led to believe. Let’s see exactly what organic skin products really contain.

Some of the common ingredients in organic skin toning and firming creams are things such as: equsmilk. This formula contains no alcohol or soap, yet it deeply cleanses the skin gently. It also enriches the skin's surface, leaving it clearer, softer and smoother. How about lotions that rejuvenate the face? The most active ingredients in organic rejuvenating facial creams are: pomegranate extract. When using organic facial elixirs your usually guaranteed that it is all natural and alcohol-free.

Do you use an exfoliation masks? Well those little pretty beads organic masks contain are made of jojoba, which act like gentle brushes to loosen and lift old cells from the face. Then the new skin cells glow to the surface. This blend also contains natural enzymes, which wake up the sleepy skin cells. If you really come to think about it, all of the organic products contain most of the same natural properties.

The good part is that at least with organic products you will be able to know exactly what it is your putting on your body. Things such as: green tea extract and Bulgarian rose oil do not seem so bad compared to chlorine and color pigments in regular products.
With that being said, on your next trip to your local pharmacy or grocery store, just take the time to read the labels and distinguish which products are filled with artificial potentially harmful products versus all-natural components. You only are allowed one body in your whole life, so why not know what your putting on the surface of it.

Truth is, most of what you put on or around your body, as mentioned before will penetrate in to your entire body anyways. Therefore, it is always good to educate yourself on what skin care products your thinking about using and do not be afraid to compare one product to another, even it if takes a little longer to purchase one lotion.

The most important part of the process is research. Just because a product says its all natural and it will not harm you, you should still check it out online or with friends that have used the product themselves.
