Oily Skin Vol3 |
| Oily Skin: Does Your
Sweat Help You? |
| by Louise Forrest
|
| |
Oily
skin is a fickle disorder that is no fun for anyone.
The craziest aspect of your oily skin that you will
notice is that it usually only manifests on the face.
There you are with your oily face and the rest of your
body is normal. What causes that is something called
your sebaceous glands. When they produce too much oil,
you find the issue most often on your face. |
| |
So, then,
if you do have oily skin, there are issues with which
you have to content. First of all, there is the shine
of your face that advertises to the world that you have
oily skin. Secondly, there is the issue of acne, which
can be worse in those with oily skin. That means you
will want to be on the look out for treatments. |
| |
| What About Sweating |
Many
people with oily skin and acne fear exercise because
of the assumed effect of sweat on the condition. You
know that too much oil, dead skin, and dirt in the pours
clogs them and causes acne, you assume the same will
happen with sweat. The thought is if you sweat too much
your pours will clot more. That may not truly be the
case, though. |
| |
| The Upside of Perspiration |
The truth
of the matter is, oily skin is not made worse by sweat.
In fact, quite the opposite is true for those with oily
skin and acne: when you sweat, you are using your bodies
own natural fluids to clear out your pores. Additionally,
sweat carries out toxins that would otherwise remain
trapped in the skin.
One way to think of it is like a natural exfoliation
process. Your sweat will work on your oily skin from
the inside, which is the opposite of what other cleansers
do for the skin: simply clean the outside. |
| |
| Better than the Alternative |
There
are, of course, other ways of getting at oily skin from
the inside. Microderm abrasion and chemical peels do
a good side of getting deep in the skin. These, though,
take money and time that many people simply do not have
to spend on such things.
That is why you may want to think about finding a way
to break a really good sweat. Though it is not a perfect
cleanser for the skin, your oily skin will benefit a
great deal from a regular sweat coupled with your other
over the counter programs that may help you. |
| |
| How Does it Work |
IF you
have oily skin are thinking of using sweat as your cleaner,
it is a simple process. First of all, exercise is the
best way to get the sweat going, though there are others
methods of course. Secondly, you should make sure that
you wash your face or shower right after you do exercise
and sweat. As your sweat carries those toxins out of
your body, you need to remove them so that they do not
linger on your face as you dry off. |
| |
Finally,
in addition to the sweat treatment, make sure to maintain
your facial treatments you already have in place. If
you have oily skin on your face, then you likely have
already been putting things in place to help you. These
over the counter treatments can be quite effective,
but with the help of a good exercise program that will
sweat out that oily skin, you can get twice the effect. |
| |
So the
truth is that sweat is beneficial to oily skin. That
means that you can work out or play the way you want
and not only know your acne will not get worse, but
also that it might actually get better. |
