| Oily
skin is not only a pain, but it is also very difficult
to get rid of. Ninety-nine percent of the time it is
due to how your body is made such as skin type and hormones
to the changes your body naturally undergoes, like puberty.
If you think you can banish oily skin forever, then
you are chasing a dream that is not likely to happen
anytime soon. Rather, you should focus on lessening
the amount of oil you have to deal with through various
oil reducing methods, from face washing to certain scrubs
to using oil blotting tissues throughout the day.
You should already know that foods like chocolate
do nothing to increase your oil production (nor does
it increase amounts of acne), but you should remember
that eating healthy can help keep your body in top
notch condition, keeping it more stable and potentially
lessening the oil production. The same can be said
for exercise, stressing as little as possible, and
in general, taking good care of yourself and your
skin. Those are the best home remedies there are,
and when used in conjunction with a few skin care
products, you can be well on your way to less oily
skin.
Some people would rather go with a home remedy all
the way. There are several home remedies that continuously
pop up, which means they can be useful for you considering
they are quite popular for oily skin. Not every home
remedy will work for you, so you may have to try some
of them before deciding which one works the best for
your skin.
Almonds and honey These two seem to
go together like peas in a pod. Almonds and honey are
popular for their great facial scrub ability. Grind
up the almonds and then mix them in with the honey.
Your aim is to make a paste out of these ingredients.
You can then gently work the paste into your skin with
a nice warm washcloth. Rinse off the scrub using cool
water.
Apples Yes, an apple a day might be
able to keep the skin doctor away. Actually, it is not
just the apple; you want to mix a half cup of mashed
apple, a half cup of cooked plain oatmeal, a slightly
beaten egg white, and a tablespoon of lemon juice in
order to create a nice, cooling facial that will help
rid your face of oil. Leave the mixture on for fifteen
minutes and then rinse it off with cool water.
Aloe Vera It would seem aloe works
great on just about everything. Try getting an actual
plant so you can use aloe straight from the source without
any extra ingredients. Break open a leaf and put the
gel on your face up to three times every day; do not
forget that you can also store aloe in the refrigerator
for a great cooling effect!
Baking Soda If you use a liquid soap
for your face, you can add in half a teaspoon of baking
soda to it and massage it carefully on oil parts of
your face. The baking soda acts like a mild scrub that
can help get rid of oil and blackheads. Again, rinse
off with cool water.
Cornstarch Using one to three tablespoons
of cornstarch in a small amount of water to create a
paste can help soak up excess oil on your face. Once
you apply to your face, allow the paste to dry and then
rinse with lukewarm water.
Egg Yolk Annoyed with shine from oil?
Separate egg yolk from the white, churn it up a bit,
and use a cotton ball to dab it to oily areas. It will
dry these areas up within fifteen minutes or so, and
then you can rinse it off with cool water.
The great thing about home remedies is that they
are not only easy to make or obtain, but some of them
also smell quite delicious!
