The Problems Of Oily Skin
by Louise Forrest

Having oily skin is not the greatest thing in the world. It is a great big challenge trying to make oily skin look radiant and glowing. Are there any side effects of having skin and if so can you stop them?

If you are prone to oily skin then there is a very strong chance that you are going to develop acne or suffer from skin blemishes. What causes this oiliness is the hormone androgen and this is found in men and women.

The main concern if you have oily skin is wondering if one day will you develop acne. It is the pores becoming enlarged that allows dirt and bacteria to potentially become trapped and so the pore becomes clogged and this then turns in to pimples, spots, blackheads and also acne.

Should you be suffering from oily skin one of the problems that you seem to encounter a great deal is that your skin tends to become dirtier much quicker. This is because the oil essentially acts as glue and this is the reason why the skin becomes dirtier more often.

So if you have oily skin it is very difficult to maintain a complexion that looks young and youthful. Regardless of age, oily skin will cause breakouts on the skin and also blackheads.

But what can you do in order to stop it?

Well one of the things that you need to be doing is cleansing your skin with a great level of care and attention. But when you are taking care of your skin never use hot water, as this will take away the natural oils that the skin needs, and so then the skin needs to compensate for the lack of oil, therefore the rate at which oil is produced is increased.

Another step that you need to take is to make sure that the products that you are using a mild and will not contain ingredients that can potentially cause further damage and irritations to the skin.

You also need to keep your hands off!

Try to avoid touching your skin if you have oily skin and as anything that is on your hands will then become in contact with your face and this will then add to the germs and dirt that are on your face. Even if you are using soap to wash your hands you really need to avoid making contact with your skin.

You only need to touch your face when you are washing your face, once in the morning and once in the evening.
