by Louise Forrest

Do you have an oily facial skin? If you do, for sure, you are noticing that the oiliness is not even. There are specific parts of the facial skin that more oily than the others. Take for example the case of the cheeks. You would readily observe that the cheeks may not be as oily as the other areas of the face. That is because the skin in the cheeks tends to be normally dry. Thus, the cheeks need additional care to help make and maintain it supple and soft. If you need to find a product to be used, choose those that are able to lock in content moisture. There are many skincare products having this property.

You would notice that out in the market, there are specific skincare products for specific areas of the facial skin. Have you ever asked why there are skincare products that are intended to be used in the eye area, the nose, the cheeks and surroundings of the mouth? The reason is very much similar to the observation that when you have oily skin, the intensity of the oiliness varies in different parts of the face.

The tissues surrounding the eye area are found to be up to 10 times thinner compared to the tissues in other parts of the face. The eye area is very sensitive. That is why experts advise that you use the most mild skincare products when cleaning and moisturizing the area. The fragility of the eye area is also the reason why the area is very much prone to wrinkling and formation of eye bugs. The general advice is to handle the skin around the eyes very gently. Be careful in choosing products that cleanse and conditions the area as some ingredients may further harm the skin and result to wrinkling and irritation. When removing makeup from the area, dab it with moist sponge instead of a washcloth.

You may be aware of it but it is a common knowledge that the nose is the oiliest part of the facial skin. The nose can be as oily as the chin and the forehead. When the nose, the chin and the forehead are all oily, the situation is what is called in the beauty sector as the oily T-zone. The reason why the nose tends to be the oiliest? Well, that is because the oil glands in the vicinity are much and comparatively bigger and more active than in other parts of the face. To remedy the oily situation, keep the area blotted and do not apply excessive skincare products to the area.

The skin on the surface of the lips should be kept moist all the time. In truth, the skin is not able to produce moisture in itself. Thus, you have to make sure the moisture is kept and maintained. Protect area from dryness and avoid practices that dry out the lip area. Licking the lips would help make the trick, but if that would be embarrassing, then use lip care products that have moisture lock-in characteristics.

The next time you buy and use products to treat your oily skin, make sure you know the basics about the natural sensitivity of all facial parts.
