Properly Diagnosing and Treating Your Oily Skin Condition

Oily skin has no boundaries and does not choose the person it is going to give the oily skin problem to. Life has many surprises. If you are a person that suffers from oily skin and it does not bother you too much, one morning you wake to go to that well-deserved job interview and find a blemish on your face.

You think of the next resort and apply foundation to your face just to hide that little spot. What you should know is that make up consists of many ingredients, and this is the plain reason why it does what it does. However, make up does not resolve the problem but makes it worse.

Make up and other cosmetics block the pores in your skin and because of that bacteria is trapped and your skin cannot breathe, as a Dermatologist would put it. This will cause you a world of problems in the long run. Your oily skin problem with not be resolved, even with powder that you use to hide that shiny nose.

The powders absorb the moisture until it cannot absorb anymore and dust and dirt in the air attaches to the powder, which eventually sinks into your skin and causes a blemish. Many people that suffer from oily skin, if they look closely at their face in a mirror they will be able to notice the blackheads and yawning paws on their skin, especially on the nose. This is caused from oil and bacteria buildup in the pores. Smokers are also huge victims of oily skin. Cigarettes and cigarette smoke carry huge amounts of toxins.

Smoking a cigarette spoils your blood, and every second of the day blood is pumped to the surface of your skin. It explains the reasons for flushed and rosy cheeks. Smokers pump blood to their skin, but the blood is contaminated and gives off toxins that settle in the skin. Nicotine and Tar in cigarette smoke are poisonous substances that do not dissolve in the air when exhaled, but settles where they can, and the closest place they can settle is on your face.

You can have a problem-free skin if you take the proper precautions from a dermatologist and eat a well-balanced diet. Those that are lucky will never have to worry about what they eat and how many cigarettes they smoke. Their skin will stay as clear and rosy no matter what. However, there are a few of you that are unlucky, and having to wake up in the morning to wash the oil of your skin is just enough.

A place you can start at trying to stop your oily skin problem is that you must not wash your face with hot water. Hot water not only dries out the skin, but also causes perspiration. Sometimes you do not notice this, and after you have washed your face with hot water, you apply a night cream to keep your skin oil-free. You skin has become so oily already, because you have opened up your pores from the hot water and then straight after block them up with crèmes.

The first and main step you should take at trying to have an oil-free skin is washing your face and washing your face. You have to wash your face at least three times a day with a mild product that has antibacterial properties and will not harm your skin.

If you are applying a crème to assist in helping with the problem, a water-based crème must be used but must be used sparingly. Remember, that you must try to keep your skin under control. You do not want your skin going dry and you do not want your skin going oily. You want to keep it well-balanced.

As mentioned earlier, you should have a well-balanced diet. You have to eliminate sugar and cut down on alcohol as much as you can. We all know how hot alcohol makes us when we consume it. When we get hot, what happens? Another unbelievable culprit responsible for oily skin is salt. Eliminate it. Apart from many other solutions, your water intake should be about eight glasses per day. It not only benefits all types of skin, but benefits oily skin, too!
