Your
Job And Your Hair |
| by Louise Forrest |

It is
suggested that too much sebum and hormones can cause
oily hair but no one really know why it happens. There
are also suggestions with regards to the job that you
may have. For example a lifeguard is exposed to the
chlorine in the swimming pools or the salt in the sea.
Such exposure to will not be doing the hair any favours
at all.
There are some jobs that can lead to you developing
oily hair. Such as jobs that are labour intensive and
make you sweat a great deal. There is not that much
that you will be able to do if your job is causing your
hair problems, other than to leave that job of course.
But there are plenty of ways of if that is what you have.
The best way for treating hair that is oily is to
wash it carefully using a shampoo that is mild and
natural. But you need to try and avoid products that
will do no more than strip your scalp and hair of
essential natural oils. This is something that you
need to avoid at all costs. But even if your hair
is oily, it still needs essential oils in order to
stay fit and healthy.
are the best option for treating any
hair condition as they help to restore any lost oils
and also are very good at treating the scalp.
You can also try simple products at home to treat
your oily hair such as talcum powder, vinegar and
also lemon juice. Whilst talcum powder may seem a
little odd, it does actually work. Just sprinkle some
on to your hair, leave, relax and brush off. You hair
will appear to be less oily and much cleaner too.
Another great trick is to have a towel and some hairspray.
Whilst you should try to avoid applying products to
your hair, hairspray can help with oily hair. Just
spray some onto your hair and then straight away rub
your hair with the towel. It is the alcohol within
the hair spray then soaks up any excess oil, and your
hair will look alive once again.
Also if you have a job that is very stressful you may
also be this way too. Hormones that are
released when a person is stressed can add to the problem
and you need to find a way to relax when at work and
also when you are at home. You should never take your
work home with you as this will cause you to be stressed
all the time.
Find a hobby that you will enjoy and that you can
find time for. It is important that your hobby will
take your mind away from work and one that will make
you calm. Find something such as fishing that can
help lower your blood pressure, but generally you
need to find ways that will keep you calm and positive
too. |
