Tired Of Having Oily Hair?
by Louise Forrest

If you have oily hair you may be asking yourself what you have done wrong to get hair that is oily to begin with. You may have heard a lot of myths about washing too often or that you are not taking enough care of yourself, which is not true. Or may be it is the actual products that you are using that are causing you to have oily hair.

Many of the products that are available on the market are not natural and therefore are not kind to the skin. They can even cause irritation to the skin and the scalp. But in many cases the shampoo products that you can buy do nothing more than strip the hair and the scalp also of its only natural oils. And if this is the case, your scalp will need to over compensate in producing more sebum.

People who seem to have oily hair also tend to have oily skin also. It is generally teenagers that are most likely to be affected due to the massive changes in the hormones that their bodies are currently going through. People who have very fine hair are also prone to having hair that is oily, due to the width of each actual hair not being enough to actually absorb any oil that is produced.

You need to tackle this issue of hair that is oily from a new point of view. You need to bear the above points in mind and also that there is nothing that you have done wrong. But if you are not taking good care of yourself then this is the first and the easiest step that you need to implement.

Rather than using shampoo products that are chemical based what you need to do is to try and use hair products that are natural. This is because the ingredients will be much kinder to your hair and scalp and there will not be anything that will you to lose any of the essential natural oils that you need to retain.

Know you are aware of the importance of a natural shampoo you may want to consider using magnesium sulphide or also known as Epsom salt. All that you need to do is to take just half a cup of your shampoo and roughly just 4 spoons of the sale, and stir. Do not worry as the salt will dissolve very quickly. And then just put the mixture into a sealable container and you are ready for the next steps.

Use this as a shampoo rather than something that you can buy. When you shampoo you need to also be rinsing the hair and scalp very well as any residue that is left does have a drying effect and this too can lead to additional problems. When generally happens is the scalp will need to produce more sebum in order to acquire the moisture that it needs.

Another habit that you also need to consider is using a conditioner for your hair so as to give your hair and scalp moisture after washing. This will help to control the level of oils that is being produced as the scalp will not be trying to make up for any dryness within the hair or even the scalp.
