Home Treatments For Oily Hair
by Louise Forrest

Having hair that is oily and dull appearance is not very nice at all. It can just take a several minutes to look this way after you have spent some careful time washing your hair. But here are some simple treatments that you can use from the comfort of your own home.

It is generally considered that people with fine hair have more chances of getting oily hair, because the hair width is not wide enough to fully absorb the oils that the scalp is producing.

Hair that is oily is also considered to become worse if you are exposed to heat and also if the hormone androgen is very active, especially in teenagers. But regardless of the causes, it is not pleasant and make you feel less attractive. But fear not as there are solutions that are available.

What you need to do if you have oily hair is to make sure that the scalp is always clean. You should make an astringent which consists of witch hazel and mouthwash, and then apply using a ball of soft wool. But make sure you are making contact with the scalp only and not the hair itself.

You can also try lemon juice mixed with water and this will make a wonderful rinse for your hair and scalp. You should try to use two lemons and this can really help to reduce the amount of oil in your hair.

There is also vinegar but it is a lot stronger than lemon and so too is the smell. Lemon is much more pleasant when it comes to the smell. But there are various types of vinegar and the best one to use would be white vinegar. So just make just say 2 teaspoons of the vinegar with some water and this will work fine. Vinegar will work many wonders as it will act as a tonic for the scalp.

When it come to using a shampoo, you should also consider using products that are natural for your hair and add some aloe vera juice to the shampoo also as well as some juice from a lemon. Then just blend it all together, wash as normal and make sure that you rinse your hair properly.

If you are busy and do not have much time to help your hair then what you can do and just add a very small amount of baby powder to your hair and just leave it for several minutes. This will help to absorb any excess oils that are in the hair and on the scalp.

Simple treatments such as these above can really help as the products are natural and are not harsh like the products that are readily available on the high street. They will help to restore the hair and the scalp of the oils that they need and not to strip any of them away.

You should try these treatments, and you may just get rid of the oily hair that you just hate.
