You Can Cope With Oily Hair
by Louise Forrest

Many experts agree that there are just too many factors than can contribute towards the glands producing too much sebum. But the general overview is that poor diet, poor product usage and hormones all play a role.

Research would suggest that a lot of people do not really know how to wash their hair in the proper manner, or that you have a very poor diet combined with a very unstable hormone imbalance. No one wants to be dealing with this type of condition, but sadly many are doing just that.

Just what can you do to stop your oily hair and to have hair that is strong healthy and shiny? The steps are very easy to follow. A good diet is essential as is drinking lots of water to help clean and flush the system. You should also try to avoid any stress and relax by taking up a hobby of some kind.

What you eat has a big role to play in the production of excess sebum on your skin and also the scalp too. It could be that you may have certain genetics that cause you to have oily hair but there is nothing to say that by having the correct foods, you will not be able to start healing and treating your oily hair condition.

The truth about hormones and genes is that they are generally not very active when it come to having a lifestyle that is healthy and also one that is happy. You need to be eating lots of fruits and vegetables and too also be eating fish as often as possible. You need to try and avoid sugary foods, food that is processed and fatty foods.

Such foods actually throws the chemical balance out of your body and this can lead to many problems such as oily hair, oily skin, spots and acne and other skin problems and you certainly do not want to have any of these. Make sure you eat well and you will be helping your body to get rid of any unwanted toxins.

There is also the problem of washing your hair. It is hard to believe that many people are just not doing this one step correctly and yet is should be very easy indeed.

There are two main factors when it comes to washing your hair

1. the duration of the wash
2. the antibacterial properties of the shampoo

What people seem to do is just apply shampoo to hands, rub onto scalp, rinse and this is followed by a conditioner of some kind.

So what is the problem with that you may ask?

Well you need to leave any shampoo on the scale for a good five minutes to really penetrate the pores and really clean away any excess oil build up. Just washing for a few seconds does not really help to clean the hair at all.

In order to really get rid of oily hair, you need to make sure that you follow the steps above and to make sure that you are using a good natural shampoo to really cleanse the scalp and the hair.
