Easy Steps For Great Hands
by Louise Forrest

You may that your hands just looked better than they already do. There are people who take great care of their hands and their hands look youthful and fresh. You may spend a lot of time trying to improve the appearance of your hands by getting treatments from a salon. But there are some easier steps to having hands that look great.

In order to perform a do-it-yourself manicure at home you will need a few simple products

- buffer
- nail cutter
- toothbrush
- some oil
- towel
- water that is heated so that it is warm but not hot

Place one or both of your hands into the bowl of warm water and allow to soak for several minutes. But do not soak for too long otherwise your skin will lose some its own essential oils due to the warmth of the water.

Now that your hands and nails are soft you can now trim them with greater ease but be careful not to the cut the skin as it will be very soft. You can use the steps outlined here to help keep the toes on your feet on shape but again remember do not soak for too long and be careful when cutting the nails.

You can use a nail file to smooth away any rough edges that may result of any nails being cut, but you should aim to a file that will have a smoothing effect and not take away too much nail away.

You can then use the buffer to then polish your nails and to give them a look indeed. Just be careful of any deep ridges and again you need to be careful not to buffer or file away too much nail away as this will not look very nice when finished. You are trying to improve the appearance of your hands and nails and doing too much could have the opposite result.

Once you have polished and filed your nails you should apply some oil to your nails. This will help to nourish, protect and also strengthen the nails. Strong nails are less likely to break or to crack.

Following these simple steps on a frequent basis and you will have a pair of hands and a set of nails that you can be really proud of.
