| What Are the Best
Indian Treatments to Use? |
| by Louise Forrest
|
| |
When
it comes to beauty treatments, the Indian methods often
win hands down. Traditional Indian treatments are only
just becoming well known in America but they have been
used for centuries over in India. They keep the body
looking prim and proper, and they also leave the skin
looking incredibly healthy. So which ones are the best
to use and what are their benefits? |
| |
| The Best Indian Treatments |
There
are quite a few Indian beauty treatments and really
they are all pretty good. There are some that are more
popular than others however and these include: |
| |
 |
Threading |
| Threading
is becoming really popular in America and it is
best known for removing facial hair. Using a thread,
an aesthetician quickly spins a fine thread extremely
close to the facial hair which is going to be
removed. The thread is around the same width as
dental floss and it removes the hair in ultra
quick time. Usually it takes only a split second
for the hairs to be removed and this makes it
less painful than a lot of other hair removal
techniques.
Another good thing about the technique is that
not only does it remove the hair, but it actually
removes it from the root which reduces the risk
of in growing hairs which can often occur with
waxing. It is always best to ask the aesthetician
how long they have been practicing and a bit about
their skills before you book this treatment as
you really want to use someone who knows what
they are doing. |

Body Scrubs |
| Whilst
most people believe that body scrubs were just
developed in America or Europe, they actually
stem back to India. Usually the day before their
wedding, Indian women would smear turmeric pastes
and sandalwood onto their bodies and their heads.
The products are great for the skin and they remove
all dead skin cells and they are rich in antioxidants.
They also apply coconut milk to their hair and
body before the wedding as it is known to be a
really moisturizing treatment.
It is possible to create your own Indian body
scrub by simply adding ground chick peas or rice
to your next shower. All you have to do scrub
your body with either ingredient, and it will
really help the skin and get rid of all dead skin
cells. Also, limejuice and sugar create a really
good sugar scrub and they are a lot cheaper to
make than shop-bought sugar scrubs. The best amount
of ingredients to use in your sugar scrub is three
parts sugar and one part lime juice

Ayurveda |
Not
many people have heard of Ayurveda but it is basically
a traditional healing system in India. It does
not relate to any treatment in particular as every
person who is treated with Ayurveda, is looked
at individually. The treatments involved are usually
exercise, herbal remedies, spiritual practices
and diet specifications.
The practice ahs been used for minor ailments
to serious injuries and it is no doubt going to
become more popular throughout the US in years
to come. |
 |
Sexual Healing |
The Indians believe
that Tantra is often the best medicine for the
whole body. Tantra basically involves a mixture
of yoga, meditation, ritual and intercourse. It
is thought that Tantra helps the whole body and
therefore helps to keep the skin looking healthy
and supple.
Overall there are many Indian treatments and all
are extremely good for the body and mind. Sometimes
Indian treatments are the best treatments to go
for. You just have to know which ones are available
and which ones are better for you.
