Could You Recognize Eczema If You Had It? |
| by Louise Forrest

Would
you be able to tell if you had eczema on your skin?
All of a sudden you notice that your skin has become
red, there is a lot of itching and your skin is becoming
very dry. But would you instantly think that you have
eczema or would you think it was just a simple rash
that if you apply any old cream will hopefully go?
It is actually quite probable that you do have a
rash and nothing else, and it can simply be another
kind of skin infection which with the right treatment
will go within a few weeks for instance
Your body has many challenges that it needs to contend
with on a daily basis and two of these challenges
are in creating two important proteins that are needed
to help fight off infection
But if you do notice something different, and are
not sure what it is then you really need to see your
doctor get a more accurate diagnosis and therefore
a more thorough treatment plan can be provided
Seeing your doctor is not really an option because
if you are scratching a lot there is a strong possibility
that the skin can break which can lead to infection
and there is then the possibility that this infection
can then spread to other areas of the body
Depending on what the diagnosis is you may be given
antibiotics or a antifungal lotion or cream, again
this would depend very much on the diagnosis and also
the severity of the condition
Again you should see a doctor straight away, as the
sooner the treatment begins the better chance you
have of controlling whatever the skin condition may
actually be |
