Is Your Job Giving You Eczema? |
| by Louise Forrest |

There
are some jobs that require you to be in certain environments
that can actually mean that your skin is coming into
contact with certain products. Such cases are referred
to as occupational skin diseases.
In order to actually identify what may have happened
for you to develop a condition, you will need to recall
the time and date and activity that you performed at
work that could have potentially caused the trigger
A occupational skin disease is not really that uncommon
and can be further aggravated by the chemical products
that you are using at home or also further worsened
by any allergies that a person may have
What exactly cause occupational skin diseases is unknown
for sure but the list is exhaustive and can include
chemicals, metals, plants, dust or even a combination
of products
So what are the symptoms? Well you can normally tell
if there is a problem if your are experiencing blisters,
redness and also some inflammation of the skin, and
the areas that can be affected are the head and neck
as these will be given direct exposure.
So what types of things should you be avoiding?
The list can include any of the following |

| - |
glue |
| - |
beauty products |
| - |
chemicals |
| - |
colorings |
| - |
plants and other exotic
flowers |

A typical
treatment for such irritants will be to identify the
source and to then treat the condition. Normally a simply
anti-allergen tablet will be able to provide fast effective
and simple treatment.
As well as this there is also what is known as irritant
dermatitis and is generally the most common type of
occupational skin disease. It can be sometimes quite
severe and is generally seen as an ulcer on the face,
hands, arms or neck.
Treatment is generally the same as mentioned above,
but in some cases greater protection for the workers
are needed and this can involve education for the employee
and employer |
