Eczema
Vol2 |
Dyshidrotic Eczema |
| by Louise Forrest |
| |
This
type of eczema affects the hands and the feet and when
it goes away it normally comes back.
You can tell if you are suffering from this type
of eczema because you will notice a transparent vesicles
that are found in identical symmetrical patterns.
As well as the palms of the hands and the soles of
the feet being affected the fingers can also be at
risk. It is not uncommon for both the hands and the
feet to be affected at the same time.
Both men and women can develop this condition but
it is middle aged people who appear to suffer from
the condition the most. Also if you are living in
a warm climate country then this too suggests that
are prone to suffer from this condition.
But what exactly causes this is not really known,
but it is though that the sweat glands are not to
blame like a lot of people think. Some people think
that people with allergies such as hayfever may also
be at risk.
Should you have a fungal or bacterial infection then
this too can also be a factor as to why people develop
this form of eczema. One possible factor is the use
of costume jewelry and the use of nickel in the manufacturing
of such products.
Another possible factor is said to be severe emotional
stress.
So what can actually be used to help treat this
condition?
Thankfully the condition normally clears up automatically
of say four weeks, but the condition is just so itchy,
that people have scratched so much that they have
developed another form of infection.
Probably the best thing that you can actually do
is to leave this form of eczema alone, but this can
be very challenging due to wanting to itch away.
But if you do need some kind of cream then there
steroids if the conditions are very severe. Regardless
you should seek medical advice in order to discover
what the best course of action will be for treatment.
This type of eczema is quite easy to diagnose because
of its unique appearance so there should be no problem
is giving a correct diagnosis and therefore providing
a treatment plan that will help to cure it.
Each person is very different so what works for one
person will not always work for another. Also the
symptoms will vary from person to person too. And
there is also a chance that you might get another
skin infection whereas someone will not. |
