| Are You Using Hard Water? |
| by Louise Forrest

You have
dry skin you look after in order for it hopefully remove
itself. You have the best organic creams and lotions,
you are washing your face with the highest level of
care but for some reason it will still not go away.
What is going wrong?
There is nothing that you are doing wrong. Whilst
you are using the facial and body products there is
still one other product that is applied to your skin
on a daily basis also.
And that one other thing is the water that you use.
A lot of people just do not know the type of water
that they have, and if you have had dry skin for some
and it will not go away then this is something that
you need to find out.
As well as hard water there is also soft water. If
after trying all the various products that you can
get your hands and you are still suffering with dryness,
then it is more than likely that the water you are
using is hard.
When water is described as being hard it means that
it contains a lot of calcium and iron deposits. This
can often be seen by deposits of lime in your electric
kettle and if these deposits are being put on your
skin then you can see why you just might have dry
skin.
The problem with hard water is that is much more
difficult for anything to dissolve in it, so traces
are left behind and these traces are left behind on
the skin
So what can you do about this then?
Well there are some solutions but they are by no
means cheap. They will essentially involve you needing
to fit special filters to shower heads for instance
in order to help soften the water and to filter out
any impurities.
Such filters will work in a way similar to a water
filter. They will remove any of the unwanted particles
leaving behind clean and softer water that is safe
and also a lot more enjoyable to drink. |
