Dry skin
can be a hassle. Not only does it mean that you skin
is flaky and appears to be dull, the effects of the
weather can also take its toll on your skin. In the
winter, your dryness can be aggravated further due to
the cold winds. In the summer you have this big ball
of fire called the sun to deal with.
But you would think that getting some sunshine on
your skin would actually prove to be beneficial. Sadly
this is anything but the truth when it comes to dry
skin. So what should you do?
Whilst vitamin D from the sun is essential for the
skin to stay and be healthy, too much exposure is
not a good idea. And people who think that a brown
tan is healthy are actually wrong. It is no more than
burnt skin.
Should you have dryness on your face the main aim
will be to make sure that you keep your skin as moisturized
as much as possible, because the sun will take away
any moisture that your skin has. If you think of raisins,
they are actually juicy grapes that are left in the
sun to dry. Staying too long in the sun will have
the same effect.
So staying in the sun will make your skin much drier
than it already is and therefore it will be much more
work in order to keep it moisturized and soft.
So prior to setting off outdoors you need to ensure
that your skin will protect you from the elements
of the weather and this applies whether it be the
hottest day of the year or indeed the coldest. And
again, regardless of the time of the year, you need
to ensure that you have a good sunscreen that will
protect you from the UV rays of the sun. |
