Wear Colours
by Louise Forrest

For the majority, having dandruff is just the ultimate cause of embarrassment. As with it is associated not properly caring for yourself. If you do have dandruff then you may want to wear light coloured clothing and be sure that you do not wear dark colours such as black. You should also avoid running your hands through your hair and this can cause a large amount of flakes to fall from your hair.

Dandruff is something that can very much happen to anyone but thankfully there are lots of treatments for this condition. If you figure out a way to treat your dandruff then wearing dark colours will not become a problem for too long.

There are numerous reasons why dandruff may occur but if you are using lots and lots of products in your hair then this is not going to help. The simple reason behind this is because such products do contain a lot of chemicals and your scalp may simply be developing a reaction to those products.

So what you need to do is to try and cut back on the number of products that you are using to style your hair. You should note that all products are suitable or ideal to be used for a continued basis over a long duration of time.

One simple thing that you can do is just change brands. Try going organic and this way you can be sure that the products that you are applying are less than likely to cause any kind of irritation to the scalp.

As well the products that you may be using there could also be factors within the environment that could be contributing to you developing dandruff. You should seriously look at buying a humidifier for your home, in order to ensure that it is not too damp or dry, and this is something that you may need to suggest for your work environment also.

If this is not possible, then you may need to consider using products that can act as a lotion for your scalp and to help keep the skin cool and moisturised. Such products can be available as a tonic that you apply to your hands and then massage into the scalp. Given that it is a tonic, you can also use it as a way to style the hair also, so there will be no need to apply any other hair products.

There are also special shampoo’s that have been created specifically for treating dandruff. In the past such products used to be medicated and sometimes these were very strong for the scalp. But nowadays there are many products that are natural based without any harsh chemicals and are much more gentle to the hair and also to the scalp.

The range of natural hair care products that are available are smelling great. The great smell is down to the use of the natural ingredients and lack of artificial perfumes and other chemicals that are readily found in non-natural based products. You can really tell the difference when using a natural based shampoo.
