Smooth and Beautiful! |

For years,
the domain of shaving belonged on the face of a man
and on the legs of a woman. Occasionally, men might
take a razor to their legs if it was part of a Halloween
costume or a practical joke, but it was not something
that was done on a regular basis.
But thanks to the metrosexual revolution, men have begun
to take a much more serious look at de-hairing themselves
and they now understand the frustrations that women
face every time they are confronted with the job of
having to shave. So let’s take a look at some
of the options out there for taking care of that bothersome
body hair from the legs to the face, and even in between! |
| |
Let us
start with the good old razor. It can be our best friend
and our worst enemy when it comes to removing hair from
our bodies. Most men would not consider using any other
removal tool on their face, but for decades women have
been searching for a more humane and far less painful
way to get around this chore.
One of the most frustrating parts of hair removal is
that most people can not even decide what technique
works the best. Most people say using shaving cream
and shaving with the grain works best. But if you are
a man looking to shave a much thicker layer of hair,
shaving with the grain is not going to accomplish anything.
Some folks also prefer to simply use soap lather, noting
the fact that it works just as well as shave gel and
it is significantly cheaper. |

Recently,
hair conditioner that contains tea tree oil has been
shown to give close, smooth shaves with little to no
razor burn, even on the bikini line. Unfortunately,
finding a conditioner (they are usually from Australia)
that has tea tree oil is hard enough to find at your
local drug store, and if you can find it, you might
balk at the cost.
At the very least, the one consensus that can be agreed
upon by all parties is that a fresh razor works best,
however, some folks believe that a single 2-blade disposable
is all you need, while others prescribe to the 3 and
4 blade models. This is definitely an area where trial
and error is your best bet. |

Depilatory
creams are another popular choice. You have the well
known Nair products that are found just about everywhere,
and you also have the far more expensive products that
are featured on late night informercials that claim
to work much better. With these creams, results vary
widely when it comes to performance.
Some folks gladly pay the extra money to simply rub
a cream on their legs twice a week and let it do its
thing, while others swear that the creams just don’t
work. If you are a guy looking to rid yourself of hair,
you would probably be better off sticking with a razor
or waxing. If your hair is more fine then one of these
creams can be an effective, albeit expensive, way to
take care of that bothersome hair. |

Finally,
waxing is a painful but effective way to get rid of
the hair you do not want. Most waxing works by using
your bodies own heating system to warm up wax that has
been applied to a sheet of paper or cloth. The strip
is laid over the part of your body you want waxed and
then pressed down.
You wait anywhere from a few moments to a few minutes
for the wax to begin to melt, and then the strip is
pulled off in one quick motion. While no one will ever
say this procedure feels good, some experienced waxers
say it hurts less and less every time they do it and
once you get use to it, it beats shaving hands down. |
