Baby skincare
should start in pregnancy. You know that a would-be-mom and
the baby in her womb are directly linked to each other. That
is because the baby is practically relying on the nutrients
supplied by the mom's body. Since the baby is not able to
ingest and take food of its own, it is just natural that it
shares nutrients with mom. Pregnant women are advised to maintain
good health and stay away from ailments that would also be
contracted by the baby. This principle also applies to skincare
of pregnant women. Whatever the mom does to her skin, her
baby would be directly affected. Skincare products can be
absorbed by the body and later on circulated to reach the
placenta, and eventually the yet unborn infant. Here are some
baby skincare tips that are recommended for pregnant women.
It is not enough to simply take care of the skin. Note that
there are special regimens and practices that are necessary
and that are recommended.
|
| 1.
Have adequate rest and sleep. Rest and relaxation are known
as natural factors that fight off stress. It is advisable
to sleep well and sufficiently each night. You know how lack
of sleep affects the overall quality of the skin. Stress constricts
the veins and arteries, eventually reducing the supply of
nutrients essential for skin health. Good and long sleeps
also helps improve and strengthen the body's overall resistance
against illnesses.
2. Wear sunscreen protection especially before
going outdoors amid a hot summer day. It is recommended that
pregnant moms use sunscreens that have at least sun protection
factor (SPF) of 15. You know how the sun's rays contain harsh
effects that may damage the skin severely. Use of an appropriate
and effective sunblock product would also prevent the onset
of any skin discoloration. Remember, any sun damage to the
skin can lead to skin problems that may eventually affect
the baby in the womb.
3. Drink lots of water. Doing so would help flush
out toxins out of the body, in turn, leaving the skin fresher
and ever so glowing. Adequate water supply is naturally good
for the baby aside from the fact that it can help curtail
different skin conditions. Drinking plenty of water each day
is also helping avoid hypertension especially during the last
three months of pregnancy.
4. Beware when using just any acne treatments.
There are several specific acne medications that are exceedingly
dangerous to the baby's overall health. The first trimester
of pregnancy is the most critical. That is because during
the period, the baby's development is at its onset. However,
the period is also characterized with the appearance of acne
breakouts as part of the pregnancy.
5. Use safe skincare products like shampoos, conditioners,
soaps and lotions. It would be best if all-natural skincare
products would be patronized.

Above all,
baby skincare started out during the mom's pregnancy would
be ensured if the mom would keep on consulting and checking
up with her doctor or dermatologist. For pregnant women, there
is a need to take care of the skin as doing so would help
ensure that the babies' skin would already be healthy long
before birth. |
