The Horrors Of Acne Scarring |
|
| by Louise Forrest |

| One
of the biggest problems of acne is what will happen
when it finally decides to leave your skin? Either
two things will happen. 1. You skin will be clear
or 2. Your skin will be scarred.
As we know acne is very common in teenagers and
the majority of them just deal with it as they
are told they will eventually grow out of it.
But what they do not know is that if they do not
treat their acne with the correct care and attention
then it can leave a lot of scarring on the skin
when it has gone.
So even though the acne has now gone away, you
are now left with skin that is scarred. So what
do you do now? Whilst no creams can actually remove
acne scarring there are processes and treatments
that can reduce the appearance of such scars.
All you need to do is find these treatment.
Once you have developed acne you need to start
a treatment plan without any delay in order to
prevent it from getting worse and to prevent the
possibility of scarring. So if you are unfortunate
to be left some scarring there are some treatments
that are available for you
Can scars be completely removed? If you want to
get rid of your scars, the only real option that
you have is plastic surgery. No creams will ever
be able to heal any form of scarring. There are
some techniques that can be used depending on
your own circumstances, these include |
|
| - |
your age and state
of health |
| - |
severity of
the scarring |
| - |
any allergies |
|
| |
Such
factors will be taken into account by your doctor
who can then determine what is the best course
of action for you. So before you rush off to the
nearest skin clinic that is offering surgery get
some independent advice first. It is important
that you seek and get the right treatment as anything
else could make the appearance of your skin much
worse than it already is.
As already mentioned surgery is one of the most
probably ways of totally removing acne scars,
but this is not the best option as you can also
walk away from surgery scars too.
So what treatments are available to you for reducing
the appearance of acne scars?
The most common consist of |
| |
| - |
collagen implants |
| - |
laser resurfacing
of the skin |
| - |
skin grafts |
|
| |
| These treatments can
be quite severe and can also lead to other problems
too. Do your research and know your facts before
having any kind of severe treatment. |
