How Does A Dermatologist See Your Acne |
| by Louise Forrest |
| |
If it
is the first time that you have suddenly developed a
case of acne then you may want to seek help as quickly
as you can. Keep your senses about you and go and seek
the advice from a skin expert. As you are new to acne
you may not know what to do so seek advice from your
friends and family also.
Seeing a dermatologist should be a two way process.
If you are paying them a visit for the very first
time they will have a lot of questions for you such
as your lifestyle habits and other health questions.
The more information that you can provide the better
as this could lead to a better treatment option and
therefore a better chance of your acne being cured.
You may be thinking that you need to face the problems
of having acne on your own but this is not the case.
So as well as being asked you should also be willing
to ask questions in order to get a better understanding
and what actions you actually need to take.
If you have been doing anything that you may think
may be causing aggravation to your skin then you need
to disclose this information as it is needed to be
able to eliminate certain actions or habits that could
have caused you to deal with acne in the first place.
Also be upfront if you have been taking any medications
as certain medications can releases hormones and sometimes
it is nothing more than this that will cause acne
from developing.
Whatever suggestions you are given from the dermatologist
it is very important that you take the positive steps
to follow their advice, simply because they would
have seen many cases of acne and will have a great
many years of experience as to what may have caused
your acne and therefore what will be the best way
to cure it.
Once you have become comfortable in speaking with
your dermatologist you should try to make frequent
visits in order to get an opinion on the progress
of your acne condition.
You may have walked in to the office of your dermatologists
office with some nerves but you should be walking
out with much greater confidence and know that you
acne can be cured.
It is now up to you to put an end to your acne nightmare
and you should keep in touch with your dermatologist
for support and also guidance when it comes to going
through your treatment plan. |
