Women
are generally particular about their physical appearance.
Some people assert that women are born to be beautiful
so that they could constantly raise the bars for admirers.
That is why it is no wonder that usually, even at the
onset of pregnancy, women would not allow their aesthetic
values and worth fall down. Despite the numerous changes
during the child-bearing period, rising number of women
tends to be more insecure and thus, tend to take more
measures in combating beauty issues. Acne is one skin
problem that is surely bogging a lot of women.
Many pregnant women complain that the occurrence of
acne increases as they get on to the pregnancy stages.
However, it may be relieving to note that after the
initial three months of the condition, acne in pregnant
women will almost always voluntarily and naturally ease
out. That is because it has been found the progesterone,
a female hormone found to be the culprit for causing
acne in women, tends to rise up during the initial stage
of pregnancy. After the third month, the hormone is
outpaced by the secretion of oestrogen, which helps
make the skin of pregnant women become more flawless
and clear.
Some women may experience acne for the first time in
their lives during early onset of pregnancy, while those
who are already prone to the skin problem may find the
skin ailment further aggravate. Aside from the natural
hormonal factors, there are also hygienic and lifestyle
practices that trigger the formation of acne among heavily
pregnant women. Thus, it would help if such women would
take note of the following guidelines during to prevent

| 1. |
Get adequate sleep each night. Sleeping is still
the best way to give the body rest and rejuvenation.
Getting sufficient hours of sleep certainly helps
make the skin look and feel so refreshed and healthy.
Studies also show that getting enough sleep helps
reduce or stall the onset of wrinkling of the
skin. |
| 2. |
The
sun is known to be a contributory factor in the
formation of skin spots and the roughening of
the texture of the skin. Direct sunlight exposure
also deprives the skin of various natural nutrients
that would eventually lead to oiliness and ultimately,
to formation of skin problems like acne. To prevent
sun-related problems, always apply sunscreen before
going outdoors. |
| 3. |
Be
hygienic. Personal cleanliness especially when
handling facial skin would be significantly helpful
in the fight against acne, especially among pregnant
women. |

Overall,
some experts still argue that acne formation in pregnant
women could not be helped because it may be hereditary
or the level of female hormones naturally balances out
during the beginning of pregnancy. Because oil is a
known factor that leads to normal formation of acne,
keeping the skin free from such substances would really
be helpful. Balanced diet and regular physical exercise,
plus a healthy and active lifestyle, would definitely
also help pregnant women avoid acne problems. |
