Skin Care For Acne
by Louise Forrest

Of all the teenagers it is said that roughly 90% will develop acne at some point in their lifetime. As well as this, there is the fact that 1 in 4 adults will also develop acne at some point. But can anything be done to stop it? Well there is no cure, but you can take certain steps to make sure that you can prevent acne from happening.

One of the first things that you need to do is to have a skin care routine that involves washing gently and using a cleanser that is not alcohol based. You should also try to avoid using a towel to rub your skin but rely more on your fingers. Finally never be harsh with your skin, for instance no scrubbing, as this will make matters worse.

The next thing that you need to realize is that many of the products that are available can be too harsh for the skin. You need to look for something that is more gentle and preferably something that is organic based.

Organic products do not contain alcohol or other ingredients that could cause further problems to the skin.

As well as the treatments that are available you need to make sure that you are not damaging your skin by picking at your spots and acne. This can lead to scarring of the skin which can be permanent as well as causing possible further infection.

Both men and women have very different issues when it comes to dealing with acne. Women generally wear makeup ad need to look at products that are labeled as non-comedogenic”. This will tell you that the products that you are using will not clog the pores.

Having pores that are not clogged is important as it just makes having better looking skin much easier to achieve.

And when it comes to men, they have a problem when it comes to shaving on skin that is full of acne. What you need to do is use razors that a not blunt, and rather than use a foam or gel, try using a natural lubricant as this will be kinder to the skin too.
Avoid using electric shavers at all costs and when wet shaving, do this after you have showered so that the whiskers will be much softer and shaving will be more comfortable than otherwise.

If you follow these simple steps, it should decrease the chances of developing acne in your life, but this is not a guarantee. But if you are still not seeing results then you may want to see your doctor.
