How Do I Make My Acne Go Away?
by Louise Forrest

The general cause of acne is inflamed pores, dead skin cells and bacteria within the pores of the skin. A lot of people do struggle to cope with large breakouts and this can affect a person both on a physical level as well as a mental level.

With the advances in technology, scientists are always looking for a cure for a disease and it is hoped that a cure for acne can one day be found and it can be gone forever.

For acne to disappear from a person does take some work. Essentially you need to kill off any bacteria within the skin, then you need to make sure that the pore is free of any bacteria, and then try to get your hormones not to start acne again. A lot of products are available for the treatment of acne, but you need to exercise caution with those products that claim to be able to cure acne in a matter of days.

It can take several months for the bacteria in your pores to go and can take a few months more for your hormones to balance out.

There are numerous products available for the treatment of acne and you need to try and stick to one brand only. Using multiple products on the skin can make it a little harsher on the skin or there could be some possible side effects. And the last thing that you want is to cause any further irritation to the skin. So it would be best to find one range of products and to stick to that range for a while and determine if it is of benefit.

You can use a number of products to help your acne, but try each one, one at time and then determine for yourself what is best for you and your skin.

Exfoliation – if you want to do this when you have acne then you need to be that extra careful. If you exfoliate too often you can actually cause the bacteria to spread to unaffected areas of the skin. Exfoliating is fine provided that you do not do it more than once a fortnight for instance.

Topical bactericidals – these are generally the various products on the market that contain benzoyl peroxide. These are quite products but they are not something that you want to be using on a cautious basis for a long period of time.

The way this ingredient works is that it kills off any bacteria and helps to unclog the pores of the skin. The only concern with this product is that it can dry the skin, so if you are to use this make sure that you apply a low strength version of the product.
