Let us know the scientific facts about acne development.

The pores on the skin also called technically follicles sometimes get blocked. Oil which you use in the head or body for health reasons, normally drains to the surface and blocks the pores. Later, bacteria begin to grow from those blocks. These bacteria produce acne of two types. They are called, whiteheads & blackheads. These blockings are technically called as microcomedone.

This type of developed acne is non-inflammable. When the trapped sebum (Sebum is an oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands in mammalian skin) and bacteria stay below your skin surface, then the result is known as white or blackhead pimple. Sometimes their size will be too small for others visibility. The color of blackness is due to melanin, the skin's pigment. They are not dirt in your skin and you can not wash them away.

When there is a break in the follicular wall, a papule occurs (A papule is a solid raised wound that has distinct borders and is less than 1 cm in diameter). This occurrence will lead to the rushing of white blood cells and consequently you will feel the inflammation. Several days later, a pustule will form here. A pustule is a collection of pus in the epidermis or the top layer of skin (epidermis) or beneath it in the dermis. This formation only is termed generally by people as pimple or acne. Treatment for the children is not given importance whereas adults can have them removed by a physician for cosmetic improvement.
