| Is Acne Playing With Your Mind? |
| by Louise Forrest |

Acne
is not going to make you feel good – in fact it
will have the opposite effect on how you feel about
yourself. You may feel that everything that could go
wrong has gone wrong, but the more you feel this way
the more upset you will become and this is not going
to help you overcome your acne.
Whilst it is easier said than done you should not
let acne get you down. It can be made worse if you
have a large social network and everyone you know
has clear skin.
You should always remember that you are not alone
and that there will always be people who are in the
same boat as you, and there will always be people
who’s condition as far worse than yours. You
need to carry with you a very positive outlook if
you want to be able to beat your acne.
Most the time acne is going to make you feel awkward
and possible the odd one out within your network of
friends. You may have once been a very confident person
and then suddenly you develop acne and then for some
reason your confidence has been taken away.
There may also be times that you may not want to
go out in public as you might fear that people are
looking at your acne and not you. Or that they may
be talking about you behind your back. Learn not to
take having acne too seriously or you will never have
any fun at all.
What you need to do is to have the confidence to
be able to confide in someone that you know and tell
them about the problems that you are facing. Just
opening your heart to someone will no doubt make you
feel much better.
Treating acne is never an overnight process and the
first thing that you need to do is to actually accept
that you do have acne in the first place.
Once you have come to terms with your skin condition
you will be able to treat it with a more positive
outlook. But never try any product due to the marketing
that is behind it, as this can lead to problems and
don’t be using too many products all at the
same time.
What you need to do is to stay calm and confident
and tell yourself that you are in control of your
acne. You never used to have acne so there is no reason
why it will not go away. But you do need to try and
figure our what may have caused your acne so you will
have a much better chance of actually getting rid
of it.
If you believe that you may at be risk from acne,
one of the first steps to take is to look at the condition
of your skin. If you are finding that you skin is
very oily then you can take the right steps in finding
products that are suitable for oily skin and so reduce
the chances of developing acne in the future. |
