by Louise Forrest

One morning you suddenly realised that you had acne. Clearly something is not quite right with your skin and you need to action as quickly as possible. Whilst acne can become a problem at any stage, you need to be aware of certain conditions that could encourage the development of acne.

First of all do not panic or start to scream that you have acne. You are not alone. Millions of people all over suffer from a form of skin condition and acne is just one of them. If you have developed acne as adult, you may have thought that you had escaped it as a teenage, but sadly it has caught up with you.

There is no overall one cause of acne. It can be caused by many factors. The most common being changes of the body for both boys and girls. And it is these changes that can cause excess oils to be secreted from the skin and that is what leads to the development of acne.

So if you have developed acne, what you need to do straight away is to start taking better care of you skin using simple products with simple ingredients. There is no need to anything silly like think of surgery as that is just a drastic step to take for anyone.

When it comes to taking care of the skin – you need to ensure that you wash a product that is not too harsh on the skin and will not cause any excess drying. You should also only wash twice a day as too much washing can make the skin even worse than it already is. You should then follow with a moisturiser that will protect the skin and nourished.

To help your skin even further, you should even try to avoid touching your face with your hands, even if they are clean. It is best to avoid contact.

You should also avoid excessive use of makeup on the skin as this does not allow the skin to breathe and simply clogs the pores, which can lead to further eruptions.

Trying avoiding direct exposure to the sun even with a good sunscreen. Most sunscreen products are chemical based and this should be avoided on skin that is prone to acne. Many sunscreen products are basically grease, and acne is already caused by excess oils, so adding grease to your skin is not going to do it or you any favours.

You need to relax and worrying about acne is not productive and can lead to other problems, such as you neglecting other important areas of your life. When you are stressed however, certain hormones are released into the skin, which can enhance the development of acne.

Just by following the tips posted on this website you will soon have your acne under control and you will also start to become more confident about yourself.

When you start seeing a dramatic change in the appearance of your skin you will see that you have your acne under control and are on the way to developing clearer skin.
